Everpost/Alternatives/Buffer

Buffer alternative, if LinkedIn is the whole job.

Buffer publishes to eleven networks and has been an official LinkedIn analytics API partner since July 2025. If you post to two of those networks, keep Buffer and stop reading.

11networks Buffer publishes to. Everpost publishes to one, and that is the whole list.
5 USDBuffer Essentials per channel per month. A LinkedIn profile and a Company Page are two channels.
2025Buffer became an official launch partner for LinkedIn's Analytics API, in July.

The two Buffer surfaces are not the same

Insights works the same way for both LinkedIn Pages and personal profiles. Buffer help centre. Insights covers impressions, reactions, comments, shares, engagement rate, and views, watch time and unique viewers on video.
Analyze supports LinkedIn Pages but not LinkedIn profiles. Buffer documentation. Analyze is the older, deeper surface: multi channel comparison, custom reports and audience demographics live there.

Anyone telling you Buffer cannot do personal profile analytics is working from information that went out of date in 2025. The limit is on Analyze, not on Insights.

Full audience data is only available for Instagram. Facebook Pages include limited location data. Audience data isn't available for X/Twitter or LinkedIn. Buffer documentation. That is a limit LinkedIn's APIs place on Buffer, not a decision Buffer made. Everpost has no demographics breakdown either, so this page is not scoring it.

Pick a date range starting before you connected and Buffer returns no data available. Everpost is no better: it cannot backdate a single figure either. The difference is what happens to the record afterwards.

Buffer's free plan is real, not a trialThree channels, ten scheduled posts each, with Insights included. The date ranges on it are last 7 days, last 30 days and month to date, with custom ranges and exports on Essentials and Team.

Where a per channel bill goes

1LinkedIn profile, on Essentials: 5 USD a month
2Profile and Company Page: 10 USD a month
4Add X and Instagram: 20 USD a month

Per channel pricing is genuinely fair at one or two channels. It is also why a Buffer bill can look nothing like the headline number.

What one network, kept locally, looks like

Everpost analytics on the content tab: impressions 76.1k, unique reach 62.4k, reactions 2.4k, comments 291 and followers gained 121, above a bar chart of reach per post over the last 90 days.
The five headline metric cards: impressions 76.1k, unique reach 62.4k, reactions 2.4k, comments 291, followers gained 121.
One bar per day you published, so the gaps are the days you did not. Underneath it, which format works for you and how length correlates with engagement, both scored against your own posts rather than a general corpus.
The Everpost dashboard record card, reading 57 days of history kept since June 2026, with 12 posts and 76.1k impressions.
The app counts how much history it holds, because that is the number you cannot buy back later.
The every reading table listing each capture by date with views, searches, followers and connections.
Every capture is a row. Nothing is edited, so the file is an audit trail, not a current state.
The Everpost queue with three scheduled posts and a list and calendar toggle.
One network in the queue. Buffer's queue holds eleven, which is the trade you are making.

So which one

Stay with Buffer ifTry Everpost if
You publish to more than one networkLinkedIn is the only one you actually post to
A LinkedIn Company Page is the account that mattersYour own profile is the account that matters
Posts must go out from a server while you sleepYou want the record of what they did, on your disk
You run a team with approvalsYou are one person and pay for one thing
You want it reachable from any browserYou want it reachable without a vendor

They coexist. Schedule six networks in Buffer and keep a local record of the one that matters, and the free tier makes that cost nothing.
